RUBY SPRINGS FAMILY RETREAT
The activities center around skiing, fly fishing, dog sled and snow mobile rides and dude ranch happenings which are supported by contributors and venues throughout Montana, “The Last Best Place”: The numbers after each of the following venues represents the years having been held. Whitefish Mountain Resort (4); Ruby Springs Lodge (4); Averill’s Flathead Lake Lodge (7); and the Bar W Ranch (2). These respites enable the families to get together and if you will, 'reunite'. Last winter Whitefish Ski event was the largest to date. Soldiers & family (29 total) from members of the 1st, 10th, 7th, Special Forces Groups; 2/75th Rangers; 4/160 Aviation and USASOC. The unit mix units draws attention to their interaction in deployment overseas and so it should in respites.
THE ACTIVITIES
The Ruby Springs Fishing event is offered by the graciousnous of the owner of the lodge. This is for couples to come to Montana for a all expense fly fishing experience.
Each couple will have their own cabin and the three singles will share one cabin. Coffee and a fruit baskets are delivered each morning with a knock at the participants cabin doors. A boat holds two people and the guide. The participants are picked up each morning by a guide with boat in tow at the participants cabin. Back to the cabins in the evening for Diners prepared by the chef with all local ingredients All fly fishing equipment including waters boats, fly rods etc are furnished. Message therapist are available for the days when you have been casting and need that little extra to relax.
